Description of Peptones
NZP manufactures a range of peptones to fit the needs of the biotechnology industry. NZP's peptones are derived from animal tissue and milk. Both equine meat peptone and ovine meat peptone are available.
Each peptone has a unique amino acid composition which provides distinct properties.
Use of Peptones
Peptones are used in microbiological culture media to support the nutritional requirements of microorganisms. They are also used in industrial fermentations and the production of human and veterinary vaccines.
Solubility: Completely water soluble
Packaging
All peptones are hygroscopic and are packed in tightly sealed polyethylene liners and packed in 25kg fibre drums. Customer specific packaging can be provided.
